Terracotta —the warm, earthy red of the sandstone cliffs along the west coast of the Shetland, where iron-rich red rock has been shaped by wind and waves over millions of years. A color as ancient and grounded as the islands themselves: warm enough to enliven any room, subtle enough to complement any interior design style.
The Shetland wool used for this blanket comes directly from the Shetland Islands and is woven on the Scottish mainland into a voluminous, textured blanket. Shetland wool comes from sheep on the Shetland Islands—one of the harshest and most remote landscapes in Great Britain. The fibers are slightly thicker and more voluminous than regular lambswool, which makes these blankets particularly heavy and warm. Shetland wool is known for its exceptional durability—a true heirloom blanket.
Measuring 210 × 150 cm, this blanket is significantly larger than a standard wool blanket—it works well as a bedspread on a single bed or as a generous throw on a double bed. Its XXL size also makes it ideal as a sofa blanket for two people.
