Quality

There are many stores that sell “Scottish” products. Most of them are not made in Scotland. For us, therefore, quality is not just a marketing term, but a set of specific criteria that every product must meet before it is included in our selection.

Made in Scotland — really

Every textile product at The Scottish Shop is woven or knitted in Scotland —in workshops that have been practicing their craft for generations: since 1874 in Hawick, since 1929 in Peterhead, and since 1947 in Selkirk. “Designed in Scotland” isn’t enough for us. Anyone familiar with our suppliers and brands knows where every piece comes from.

100% Natural Fibers

Our blankets, scarves, and knitwear are made exclusively from lambswool, Shetland wool, Merino , and cashmere —there are no synthetic blends in our core textile products. Natural fibers are breathable, temperature-regulating, naturally odor-resistant, and biodegradable. We explain the differences between the individual fibers in our product guide.

Personally verified

We test every product ourselves before we carry it—in everyday life, not in a showroom. A picnic blanket has to keep you dry on wet Scottish grass; a sweater has to still hold its shape after years of wear. We only sell what we ourselves use with complete confidence.

Durability Instead of Disposable Products

A good Scottish wool blanket lasts for decades, and a William Lockie sweater is passed down through generations. To ensure this happens, we provide care instructions for every product—from caring for cashmere to proper storage over the summer. The most sustainable product is the one you never have to replace.

Our Promise

If a product ever fails to meet your expectations: 30-day return policy, fast shipping with DHL tracking, and personalized, friendly Scottish customer service. Our customer reviews speak for themselves.
