Staffa is an uninhabited island in the Inner Hebrides, barely two kilometers long, and yet one of Scotland’s most remarkable places. Its interior is dominated by Fingal’s Cave: an echoing sea cave composed entirely of regular hexagonal basalt columns—formed by the slow cooling of lava 60 million years ago. Felix Mendelssohn heard it in 1829 and subsequently composed his Hebrides Overture, Op. 26—today one of the best-known Romantic orchestral works and a staple of the German concert repertoire.
The "Tartan " wool blanket " Isle of Staffa " features the island’s warm earth tones: a deep, rich terracotta red as the base color, interspersed with contrasting stripes—the most distinctive color pattern in the entire collection. Woven in Scotland from 100% pure virgin wool, with a natural lavender scent infused into the fibers. Soft against the skin, warm in cool rooms. Available in two sizes: 150 × 180 cm (approx. 1,100 g) and 150 × 200 cm (approx. 1,250 g).
