HIGH-QUALITY WOOL BLANKETS
Lammwolle (Schurwolle) ist die Wolle junger Schafe — weich, warm und langlebig. Shetlandwolle kommt von den Shetlandinseln und ist etwas gröber, aber außerordentlich widerstandsfähig. Kaschmir ist die feinste und weichste Naturfaser der Welt — leichter und wärmer als Wolle, aber auch pflegeintensiver.
Die meisten Wolldecken sind in zwei Größen erhältlich: 150×180 cm (klassische Sofagröße) und 150×200 cm (großzügige Überwurfgröße). Kaschmir-Plaids sind als Stola (ca. 70×200 cm) und als Decke erhältlich.
Alle unsere schottischen Wolldecken und Plaids empfehlen wir zur chemischen Reinigung zu geben. Dies gilt für Lammwolle, Shetlandwolle und Kaschmir gleichermaßen — so behalten die Decken ihre Form, Farbe und Qualität am längsten. Niemals in den Trockner.
Tartan bezeichnet das Karomuster mit spezifischen Farben und Mustern, die oft einem schottischen Clan zugeordnet sind. Plaid bezeichnet die Decke selbst — eine Wolldecke kann also ein Tartan-Plaid sein, muss es aber nicht.
