Das Scott Green Antique — der Tartan des Clan Scott in seiner gedämpften, historisch authentischen Antique-Farbtonung. Das Wort „Antique" bezeichnet die natürlichen Färbetöne vor der Industrialisierung: weiches Moosgrün, erdiges Braun, kein künstliches Leuchten.
Der Clan Scott hat die schottische Kultur mehr geprägt als fast jede andere Familie. Sir Walter Scott (1771–1832) war der erste schottische Bestsellerautor, dessen Romane ganz Europa für Schottland begeisterten. Er organisierte den Besuch von König George IV. in Edinburgh 1822 — und brachte den König erstmals in Kilt und Tartan an die Öffentlichkeit. Damit legte er den Grundstein für das moderne Bild Schottlands.
