The island of Barra lies at the southernmost tip of the Outer Hebrides—a small island with a population of about 2,000, surrounded by turquoise-blue Atlantic waters, white shell-sand beaches, and windswept moors. It is the only place in the world where scheduled commercial flights land on a natural beach: airplanes touch down directly on Cockle Beach, with the flight schedule adjusted to the tides.
The Tartan picnic blanket Isle of Barra is woven in Scotland from 100% pure new wool. The warm earth-tone pattern in brown and green is reminiscent of the moors and rocky coasts of the Hebrides. The top side is soft enough for direct skin contact. The waxed cotton underside keeps you dry on damp ground, wet grass, or sand. Available in two sizes: 170 × 150 cm for two people (1,600 g) and 200 × 150 cm for three to four people (1,800 g).
