Since 1887, McRostie of Scotland has been crafting leather goods in Scotland. The Glenavon Black is the most formal belt in the collection—classic black bridle leather that pairs perfectly with any suit, dark pants, or evening occasion. It’s not an accessory that seeks attention, but one that deserves it.
Made from a single layer of traditionally tanned British bridle leather, with a pinched edge and a traditional, sturdy nickel buckle featuring a distinctive stained-glass-style tip. Width: 3.2 cm — fits all standard belt loops. Handcrafted in Scotland.

Bridle leather is a traditional, particularly sturdy type of leather that was originally developed for horse bridles. It is tanned and waxed slowly and carefully, which makes it more resilient and durable than most other types of leather. Over time, it develops a rich, natural patina.
It depends on how it’s used, but the first visible changes usually appear after a few weeks of regular use. The patina develops through contact with light, air, and the skin’s natural moisture, and deepens over months and years—this isn’t wear and tear, but rather the hallmark of genuine bridle leather.
