Since 1887, McRostie of Scotland leather goods in Scotland—belts, bags, and accessories made from traditionally tanned British bridle leather, the strongest and most durable leather, which was developed for horse harnesses and saddlery.
The Braun "Glenavon " is the classic men's belt in the collection—crafted from a single layer of saddle leather, featuring a pinched edge and a traditional, sturdy nickel buckle with a distinctive stained-glass-style tip. At 3.2 cm wide, it fits into all standard belt loops—pairing equally well with jeans and dress pants. A belt that ages gracefully with its wearer.

Bridle leather is a traditional, particularly sturdy type of leather that was originally developed for horse bridles. It is tanned and waxed slowly and carefully, which makes it more resilient and durable than most other types of leather. Over time, it develops a rich, natural patina.
It depends on how it’s used, but the first visible changes usually appear after a few weeks of regular use. The patina develops through contact with light, air, and the skin’s natural moisture, and deepens over months and years—this isn’t wear and tear, but rather the hallmark of genuine bridle leather.
