The " Hastings " in Brown — the classic Sporran design of McRostie of Scotland as a women’s handbag. Recognizable by its three traditional leather tassels, the unmistakable hallmark of the Scottish Highland sporran for centuries. Made from traditionally tanned British bridle leather, handcrafted in Scotland since 1887.

Bridle leather is a traditional, particularly sturdy type of leather that was originally developed for horse bridles. It is tanned and waxed slowly and carefully, which makes it more resilient and durable than most other types of leather. Over time, it develops a rich, natural patina.
It depends on how it’s used, but the first visible changes usually appear after a few weeks of regular use. The patina develops through contact with light, air, and the skin’s natural moisture, and deepens over months and years—this isn’t wear and tear, but rather the hallmark of genuine bridle leather.
