The Fair Islestyle originates from the island of the same name in the Shetlands, the northernmost tip of Scotland—where fishermen and knitters have been creating geometric multicolored patterns in concentric stripes that never repeat for centuries. Since 1874, William Lockie at Hawick has been reimagining this tradition using the finest 2-ply Geelong lambswool yarn —lightweight, warm, and exceptionally soft.
This sweater features the " Fairisle" pattern in a beige base color—a warm, light neutral that really brings out the pattern's colors. Ribbed cuffs at the collar, sleeves, and hem. Made in Scotland Since 1874.
