William Lockie Women's Black Cashmere Cardigan

Cashmere is considered the finest natural fiber in the world—harvested by gently combing the undercoat of Mongolian mountain goats, which can withstand winter temperatures as low as minus 40 degrees. It is precisely these extreme conditions that produce the delicate down that makes cashmere so incomparably soft. Since 1874, William Lockie at Hawick has been transforming this raw, luxurious material into knitwear that is passed down from generation to generation.

This classic black cashmere cardigan is knitted on a fine 21-gauge machine. Black is the most versatile color in the collection: just as elegant over a white silk blouse as it is over a striped Breton shirt, from the office to the evening, in every season. It features fully shaped shoulders, straight cuffs, a ribbed neckline and hem, and a fitted silhouette.

Women's Cashmere Cardigan 

Have the garment dry-cleaned or wash it by hand after it has been worn three or four times.

Hand-washing instructions: 

Use lukewarm water (30 °C) and a mild soap or baby shampoo.

Press the soap through the garment. Rubbing can cause pilling (small balls to form) and may cause the garment to shrink. Rinse the garment thoroughly in cold, clean water. Remove the water by gently squeezing or lightly spinning it in a spin cycle. 

Lay the garment flat to dry and smooth it back into shape.
