Tiree —the flattest and sunniest island in the Inner Hebrides, 75 kilometers west of Oban , far out in the Atlantic. No hill obstructs the view, no forest slows the wind—only the light dancing across the machair grasslands and the extraordinary splash of color in the flower meadows: cornflowers, clover, yellow clover, and cowslips. It is precisely this diversity that is reflected in the Tiree Fairisle pattern — six colors in geometric stripes that never repeat.
