The Scottish Terrier—short-legged, headstrong, fearless—has been Scotland’s unofficial mascot for generations. Since the 1930s, its distinctive silhouette pattern has adorned Scottish knitwear, sporrans, and porcelain; fashion houses from Vivienne Westwood to Moschino have incorporated the motif into their collections. Perhaps the best-known story of a Scottish Terrier is that of Greyfriars Bobby —the dog who, for 14 years, guarded the grave of his deceased owner every day at Greyfriars Kirkyard in Edinburgh , thereby becoming a legend.

This "William Lockie " sweater features the classic Scottie Dog intarsia pattern in a warm cream-white hue—set against a navy blue background with claret-red accents that give the pattern its unmistakable Scottish character. Knitted in Hawick, Scotland, from 2-ply Super Geelong lambswool. A finely ribbed V-neck, ribbed hems, and cuffs ensure a fit that retains its shape over the years.
