Eine Decke, die eine Geschichte zu erzählen hat. Diese 100% natürliche Plaid verwendet ungefärbte Wolle — das Schwarz und das Weiß des Karos kommen nicht aus dem Farbbad, sondern direkt aus der Natur: dunkle Wolle von schwarzen Schafen, helle Wolle von weißen. Kein Farbstoff, keine Verarbeitung. Nur Wolle.
Dieses Muster wurde traditionell in den schottischen Grenzhügeln verwendet — dem hügeligen Grenzland zwischen Schottland und England, wo die Schäfer mit ihren Herden die Hänge bewirtschafteten. Die Plaid schützte Hirten und Lämmer vor dem Wetter, diente als Kleidungsstück zum Tragen von Vorräten und als Decke zum Schlafen unter freiem Himmel. Einfach, funktional, unverwüstlich.
Das Muster war so beliebt, dass Sir Walter Scott — Schottlands berühmtester Romanautor, Autor von Ivanhoe und Rob Roy, selbst ein Mann der Grenzhügel — eine Hose in genau diesem Design bestellte.
