MacRae Hunting Gray —the muted, gray-toned version of the ClanMacRae tartan, traditionally designed for everyday outdoor wear. Hunting tartans originated in Scotland as a practical alternative to the lighter, festive tartans: darker, more natural shades that blend into the Highland landscape.
The MacRae clan has deep roots in Kintail—the wild valley in Wester Ross, guarded by Eilean Donan Castle on Loch Duich.
