Der MacBeth Weathered Tartan — die verwitterte Variante des Clan-MacBeth-Tartans: gedämpftes Blau als Grundfläche, dazu Oliv, Rost, Creme und Senfgelb. Weathered-Tartans ahmen die Farben nach, die ein Tartan nach Jahren in Wind und Wetter annimmt — weicher, erdiger, wie altes Tuch aus der Truhe.
Der Name MacBeth — vom gälischen MacBheatha, „Sohn des Lebens“ — gehört zu Schottlands bekanntestem König: MacBeth bestieg 1040 den Thron und regierte 16 Jahre, lange bevor Shakespeare ihn zur Bühnenfigur machte. Im 16. und 17. Jahrhundert praktizierten zwei Familien dieses Namens als Ärzte in den Highlands.
