How to Care for Your Picnic Blanket
These beautiful picnic blankets are made from the finest lambswool and waxed cotton. So you can see why they’re among our most popular products. To keep them in pristine condition and extend their lifespan, we recommend following these care instructions:
1. Shake the blanket
Immediately after using your blanket, but before you pack it away. After your outing with the picnic blanket, we recommend that you shake it out thoroughly to remove any debris and dirt.
2. Ventilate regularly
When you return home from your outing, we recommend airing out your blanket. The fresh air will help remove dust and dirt from the blanket.
3. Clean stains
Although wool is naturally stain- and water-resistant, the liquid will begin to soak into the fabric after a few minutes. Therefore, clean the stain with a high-quality, mild wool soap and cold water to remove it. Please avoid scrubbing the fabric, as the resulting friction can cause pilling. Instead, let the soiled area absorb the warm water and detergent, then blot it with a soft cloth
4. Storing picnic blankets
When your wool blanket is not in use, we recommend storing it in a dark, cool place, in an airtight container or in a bag. It is also a good idea to add a few cedar wood chips, as cedar wood is a natural repellent for flying insects.
5. Treat me well
Our high-quality picnic blankets are designed to keep you comfortable wherever you choose to relax. Please do not pull or stretch them, and use them only as intended—as picnic blankets. Makesure that pets or children do not misuse them.
