How do you protect wool from moths?
A beautiful cashmere or lambswool blanket is an investment. With proper care, it can last for many years. In our blog post “”, we’ve already provided tips on daily blanket care. Now we’d like to help you keep moths at bay.
Storing blankets when not in use
Woolen items should be stored in clear plastic containers when they are not in regular use.
Tips for using
1. Store woolen items in clean drawers or closets and use moth repellents with natural essential oils that have a strong scent and contain ingredients such as lavender, cedarwood, rosemary, and lemongrass.
We’ve designed cute little tweed lavender sachets specifically for this purpose—they not only look good but also smell great.
2. Wear your clothes regularly and air them out frequently, as moths are less likely to target areas that are used regularly.
3. Keep the storage area clean at all times by regularly vacuuming in and around all furniture, as well as inside storage cabinets.
