Machair is a word of Gaelic origin that refers to the grassy areas found along parts of the northwest coast, which are particularly beautiful and widespread throughout the Hebrides. It is a very fertile place, and the floral notes of our Machair fragrance come from the colorful wildflowers that grow there. Subtle notes of seaweed blend with bellflowers, gentian, orchids, and bluebells to create a botanical fragrance.  For us, this is the scent of the Scottish coast, and we love it when the machair begins to bloom in spring and summer. If you love the coast but don’t live as close to it as you’d like, this is the fragrance that will transport you there.
