How to care for your picnic blanket
These beautiful picnic blankets are made from the finest lambswool and waxed cotton, so you can see why they are some of our most popular products. To keep them in pristine condition and prolong their lifespan, we recommend the following care instructions:
1. Shake the blanket
Immediately after using your blanket, but before you pack it up. After your picnic blanket outing, we recommend that you shake the blanket well to remove any debris and dirt.
2. Ventilate regularly
When you return home from your excursion, we recommend that you air out your blanket. The fresh air will help remove dust and dirt from the blanket.
3. Clean stains
Although wool is naturally stain and water repellent, after a few minutes the liquid will begin to soak into the fabric, so clean the stain with a good, reputable, mild wool soap and cold water to remove the stain. Please avoid scrubbing the fabric as the friction that this creates can cause pilling. Instead, let the stained area soak up the warm water and detergent and dab it with a soft cloth
4. Store picnic blankets
When your wool blanket is not in use, we recommend storing it in a dark, cool place, in airtight containers or in a bag. It is also advisable to add a few cedar wood shavings, as cedar wood is a natural flying insect repellent.
5. Treat me well
Our high quality picnic blankets are designed to keep you comfortable wherever you choose to relax. Please do not pull or stretch and use only as intended; as a picnic blanket. Be careful not to allow pets or children to use these improperly.
